Long-term Loans

For many decades we have been financing the highly diverse investment projects of established German medium-sized companies. The financing spectrum extends from classic forms of capital goods investment like expansion and modernisation project through to selected research and development projects.

Use is made of long- and medium-term IKB loans, low-interest public programme funding, interest rate and foreign currency derivatives, as well as life insurance-coupled forms of financing. We make regular use of the following types of loan:

Loans with a maturity of up to approx. 25 years (block loans four to twelve years)

Loans with various modes of repayment (instalment plans, annual interest and
       redemption payments, payment upon maturity)

Loans with interest rates set at various levels fixed for various periods of time

Loans with and without redemption-free years

Rollover loans with interest rates adjusted in accordance with agreed periods

Life insurance-coupled, maturity loans

Loans connected to interest rate instruments (Derivate)

Loans in connection with currency swaps

Loans in all standard currencies

The decision to lend is generally based on the proven business success of a company; the economic viability of the investment being made; favourable future prospects of the company and the industry it operates in; the presence of qualified management; and adequate collateral.

The minimum amount of a loan is Euro 1.5 million.
